(NOTE: I created this poem using AI tools. I thought I would give Artificial Intelligence a try. This is not a romantic poem but one in which I express my love for space and astronomy.)
Imagine Earth, a lonely sphere,
No silver moon to grace our year.
No moonlit dance, no whispered rhyme,
Just endless day and endless time.
No ghostly glow on shadowed streets,
No secrets told where darkness meets.
The stars, mere pinpricks in the night,
Jupiter, a distant, fading light.
Venus, a whisper in the blue,
Mars, a rust-red speck anew.
Even Saturn, with its rings so grand,
A distant jewel, held in the hand.
Milky Way, a swirling haze,
Galaxies lost in starlit maze.
But oh, the yearning for a sight,
Of planets bathed in sunlit light.
Like "Avatar's" Pandora fair,
Or "Pitch Black's" haunting, barren stare.
"Star Trek's" worlds, both strange and bold,
"Star Wars's" moons, with stories told.
To walk on Titan's frozen shore,
Or gaze on Jupiter evermore.
These dreams we chase, with telescopes' gaze,
A glimpse of beauty, through starry haze.
So let us cherish Luna's grace,
Her gentle light, on Earth's soft face.
For though we dream of worlds afar,
Our moon, a wonder, shines near and far.
