Just my personal announcement because life is getting messy by being on so many social media platforms and networks and people are already noticing what they claim is my "odd" behavior which in my opinion is not "abnormal" at all if we consider the fact that we do have a choice of not becoming slaves to today's both mainstream and social media.
But before that, a little about this artwork which I want to bring attention to again due to various surfing competitions currently across the world, including involving surfers with physical challenges. This is my favorite painting by Maldives Impressionist artist Abdullah Faiz from his solo art exhibition at the state-run National Art Gallery (NAG) in Maldives' capital island Male' in July 2023. I wrote two articles (one when it had just begun: https://hilath.blogspot.com/2023/07/faizs-impressionist-journey-took-my.html) and another when it was extended (https://hilath.blogspot.com/2023/07/faizs-impressionist-journey-art.html) - the latter also serving as a "correction" to the mix-up I had made confusing this painting with "bodyboarding" instead of Faiz's intention of using the word "surfing" as an umbrella term to describe activities on waves.
Okay... Now on to the points of this "personal announcement":
1) I only open one single unread message at any given time. If I open too many unread messages at the same time, my brain goes into overdrive and my mind gets cluttered with all the points I have to remember to include in my answers. Although I also have my smart phone with me, I might not be in a conducive environment to open the Notepad app and jot down the points for later elaboration. For instance, I may be in Majeedhee Magu (Male's main thoroughfare) and obviously I will have to wait until I reach home in order to properly attend to any unread mail.
2) All things to do with my personal life are on my Instagram. That is, if there's anything involving my personal life, I post them on my Instagram account with a short description. However, if there's anything I have to describe at length which cannot fit an Instagram post, I post the whole text in my blog and then put the first few paragraphs on an Instagram post and at the bottom, I provide the link where you can read the full article from my blog if you would like.
3) Any pictorial posts (such as photos and artworks) of indoors and outdoors of places I visit and find interesting are posted on my Deviant Art Gallery. This may include book, movie, documentary, music, or TV series reviews, and my observations of people's cultural productions which I post as text based reviews with accompanying art, photo, or screenshots.
4) I may post some of these on my blog but I will not post all of these everything on my blog because I may be busy during certain days of the month or I may feel it is not important to repeat them on my blog. So, if you don't want to miss even a single public activity of mine, you might need to visit my Instagram, Deviant Art Gallery, and blog too.
In conclusion, while I may post the link or URL address of all these posts - to my LinkedIn, Threads and Facebook - I make no such promises because I am now working at "Adhives Online" magazine (an exclusively Maldivian native language Dhivehi-based online website) and therefore I don't have as much free time as I used to before.
So it's up to you to follow me to the ends of the Earth if you will, but you are not obliged to, just because I may be your family, colleague, or neighbor or friend.
