Maldives crossdresser is trying to bring international pressure on President Dr. Muizzu, allege local conservatives

The crossdresser, currently remanded for 15 days, is accused by local conservatives of seeking to bring international scrutiny onto President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's government.

A pro-Muizzu supporter, speaking anonymously, questioned the crossdresser's actions in light of Islamic beliefs, suggesting a deliberate plot to pressure President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on the international stage.

"Wouldn't he be aware that he would get into trouble when he goes around crossdressing which is haraam (sinful) in Islam? This is a plot to bring international pressure on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu," a pro-Muizzu supporter said while requesting anonymity.

According to Maldives' news website "Adhadhu", in an English language news item, formerly known as Mohamed "Yaya" Nabeel, was sentenced to one year and one month in jail in September 2022 for charges related to pornography production and possession. He was found guilty of uploading a video on TikTok where he flashed and briefly exposed his penis.

Upon release, he resurfaced on social media as "Lucy" Nabeel, sharing content featuring him crossdressing, applying makeup, and dressing up in revealing women's attire.
