"Movie-making is a great adventure, an adventure of the mind, soul and body. In a split second your mind crosses millions of miles, weaving together stories and characters from anywhere in the world. Your stories can be sat anywhere at all. Which means a thinking writer is constantly on the move, always contemplating on the theme he is focused on, always alive to what is going on around him, living every day with the hope of achieving a brighter tomorrow. As you live for tomorrow, your present is enriched too with hope and optimism; this is real living.
I consider myself lucky that my destiny threw me into a whirlpool of such creativity after I hit the big time as an established star. I opted to pursue my flights of fancy so that I could make maximum use of my imagination, to let my mind fly into whichever direction it chose, and explore whatever subject it wanted to flirt with. As a director I have always picked up subjects that are relevant to our times, things that attract my eyes and my ears from today's headlines, problems and ideas that affect our daily lives."
